Something powerful happens in our relationship with our daughters when we step away from our daily routines, leave our screens behind, and give ourselves the space to simply be together.
This June marked the third year of our beloved Mother-Daughter Yoga Retreat at Retreat Ranch. It has been so popular, and sold out each year, that this year we decided to offer a second retreat in October (we still have spots left but book soon to get your choice of lodging!)
Each year, the experience grows deeper, sweeter, and more meaningful. What started as a dream to help mothers and daughters connect beyond the chaos of daily life has become a cherished tradition for many returning families—and a transformational weekend for those who are joining us for the first time.
A Retreat Designed for Connection, Not Perfection
At Nectar Flow Yoga, we don’t believe in cookie-cutter retreats. This isn’t just a weekend of yoga and activities—it’s a space thoughtfully designed to foster real connection between moms and their daughters during one of the most critical stages of development: the tween and teen years.
Our programming combines movement, mindfulness, creativity, and reflection in ways that speak to both generations. You’ll move together through yoga, breathwork, and gentle meditation practices—but you’ll also laugh during our Glowga dance party, get a little messy during equine painting, and bond around the campfire under a Texas sky.
We keep it real. There’s space to laugh, cry, journal, wander, rest, and talk. No one is pushed to share; everything is invitational. That’s part of what makes the retreat so special—mothers and daughters feel safe to show up just as they are.
Why Moms & Daughters Return Year After Year
Many of the moms and daughters who joined us in year one have returned for a second and even third retreat. Why? Because something about this weekend just clicks. It gives moms a rare opportunity to be fully present with their daughters—without the distractions of work, home responsibilities, or the ever-present tug of technology. It gives daughters the chance to see their mothers as people—real, emotional, human—and to be seen in return.
Here’s what one mom shared after attending for the second time:
“This retreat is something we look forward to all year. It’s the reset button we didn’t know we needed. My daughter and I leave more connected, more open, and more grounded. We always make new friends, and somehow every time it feels like magic.”
And the teens? They may roll their eyes on the way there, but by the end of the weekend, they’re glowing—sometimes literally, from our Glowga party—but always emotionally from the inside out.
The Magic of the Space
Set on a peaceful glamping ranch in the Texas Hill Country, this retreat is equal parts rustic charm and nurturing luxury. Private or shared accommodations are cozy and comfortable, with options for every budget. Every detail—from the nourishing meals to the creative workshops to the open time in nature—is designed to support connection, healing, and ease.
We use elements of yoga philosophy, including the yamas and niyamas, to gently guide conversation and reflection. But it’s not a lecture—it’s a lived experience. Each family is invited to explore these timeless teachings through journaling, sharing circles, and hands-on practices that are age-appropriate and heart-centered.
Who This Retreat Is For
This retreat is for any mother or maternal figure (aunt, grandmother, guardian) who wants to spend intentional time with a daughter between the ages of 10 and 17. You don’t need any experience with yoga, meditation, or retreats. All you need is a willingness to show up and share space.
Whether your relationship is already strong and you’re looking to deepen it—or you’ve been struggling to connect and are seeking new tools and understanding—this weekend offers a unique opportunity to listen, grow, and be present in a completely different way.
Join Us This Fall
There’s a reason we say these retreats sell out every year—because they do. If you’ve been thinking about carving out time for something meaningful with your daughter, now’s the time.
The October 11–13 Mother-Daughter Retreat is open for registration. Spots are limited, and early-bird pricing is available through July 1.
Come see what makes this weekend so special. Come connect in a way that lasts far beyond the retreat itself.
We can’t wait to welcome you to the ranch.
